Marli's Thoughts
What does H1N1 have to do with Management Matters and the resolution of workplace conflict?
Support Don't Segregate
All too often, managers are supported in their actions until something “goes wrong” – a “costly” grievance, damaging harassment investigation, wrongful dismissal lawsuit, or complex human rights complaint. When this happens, managers often find themselves “targeted”, isolated and abandoned by others in the workplace.
In order to ensure that mangers are provided with the support and guidance they deserve, Management Matters offers arm’s length and confidential assistance to individual managers involved with complex employees or intense workplace conflict.
In addition, when managers are named in workplace grievances, harassment complaints or human rights matters, the organization must remain “neutral” and not “side” with the manager. Often the need for such neutrality results in managers feeling abandoned and isolated during an intensely stressful time. In these situations, Marli Rusen is available to provide one-on-one support and guidance to managers who are named or referenced in workplace conflict investigations.
